Castle Building Centres has announced the addition of three former RONA locations to their expanding network of independent members. “This signifies a pivotal occasion for LBM owners who are seeking a truly independent alternative,” said Ken Jenkins, president of Castle Building Centres Group Ltd. “Built on transparency, service, experience and an absolute focus on member profitability, Castle continues to attract successful independent entrepreneurs from across the country.” All three owned by the Godin family, they are:
Quincaillerie Godin – Namur, Quebec
Lise Godin, owner of Quincaillerie Godin in Namur, Québec, founded the company in 1979. In 1984, and with the help of her family, they expanded into the existing 4,500-sq.-ft. location. This store would be the first of three locations as the Godin family began establishing a strong relationship in the community.
Matériaux Godin & Fils – Grenville, Quebec
In February 1996, Godin acquired the former Bâti-tout store in Grenville, Québec. The family becomes further involved as the three siblings become part of the growing family business. This 6,500-sq.-ft. store is well situated on the main road at the entrance of Grenville, Quebec.
Groupe Matériaux Godin – Hawkesbury, Ontario
In February 2003, Lise Godin, motivated to grow the company, purchased the former Cashway store in L’Orignal (Hawkesbury) Ontario. The 3.5-acre property and the 11,500-sq.-ft. store reflect the strong desire of the Godin family to reach new business opportunities and is the perfect facility to focus on growing contractor sales.
